Photography
Oct 11, 2021
Pip has been a photographer all her life. She began developing black and white film in her father’s photographic studio at the age of eight. She has spent many years overseas but has always come home to Taranaki. Her time spent overseas ranged from prawn trawlers and mining in the Northern Territory, a fish factory in Iceland to working in the photographic department of the National Gallery, London. Photographic jobs took her from Oman and then back to Melbourne. Twenty years ago she returned to New Zealand and has lived the last six years in Waitara. |

Nov 12, 2021 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
To Golfers and their friends.
The Rotary Club of Ngāmotu Annual Golf Tournament will be held this year on Friday 12th November 2021. In the event of a forecast of bad weather, or COVID-19 restrictions, the postponement date is Friday 10th December. If because of COVID-19 restrictions the event is cancelled all registration fees will be refunded in full.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Alzheimers Taranaki and to other Rotary Community Projects.
The tournament will be held at New Plymouth Golf Clubs’ top-rated Ngāmotu Links. It is a fun day but there is still plenty for the serious golfer. The format is a 5-ball Ambrose Competition so that everyone, golfer or non-golfer, can join in and be part of a team of five. You are invited to enter a team and/or to sponsor a hole.
There will be a complementary BBQ lunch from 11am with a shotgun start at 12 noon. There will be prizes and an auction. At stake is the Russell Moore Memorial Trophy in memory of a Past President of our Rotary Club.
You can contribute to a very worthwhile cause by:
This year, and to provide the fifth member of your team, you are invited to participate in an optional Mystery Draw of “Celebrity” players. The cost of a chance in the draw is $300. Details of the Celebrities will be provided shortly. Participating teams will be advised on the day of the name of the Celebrity that they have drawn.
Cart Hire will be available. Please contact the Taranaki Golf Centre ( 06 755 0464 ) in order to book.
Each team will include at least one non-golfer so this is a great opportunity for the non-golfer to experience playing on Taranaki’s top golf course, to support a worthy cause and to have a lot of enjoyment doing it!
