Sally asked the members to stand and observe a minutes silence in memory of Dr Bill Frengley a past member and President of our Club who recently passed away.

Fines Session: Was run by David Brownson who questioned the members on their knowledge of gemstones.
3 minute talk: Dennis Eales gave an address around his personal background, but essentially focussed on one facet of his working career.
This facet was the time the he spent as a Funeral director when he arrived in Lancaster England 2004.
Dennis spent 11 years in the role and experienced a lot during this period.
Guest Speaker: Justine Gilliland, CEO Venture Taranaki
Justine was introduced by Geoff Harding.
Justine is Taranaki born and raised in Hawera, attended Sacred Heart in New Plymouth. She then went on to do a B.A. at Otago University and she also has degree in Law.
Justine joined Venture Taranaki in March 2019, and is also currently serving on the Board of the Economic Development of N.Z. as well as the N.Z. Agriculture Marketing and Development Trust.
She spends her spare time with her husband, children, and being the Chair of the Taranaki Toy library.
Justine in her presentation gave the Club a very good overall picture and summation of the activities of Venture Taranaki.
She believes that Venture Taranaki is fortunate to be able to work with the four Taranaki councils in such a collaborative fashion.
V.T. has worked on the Taranaki Tactical Response plan in the short, medium, and long term on the effects of Covid-19.
As at 30 June, V.T. had recorded 4022 Covid -19 related interactions and enquiries, and distributed $727,234 in Covid-19 related enterprise support funding.
They are promoting business, tourism, and providing leadership for new opportunities.
V.T. has developed a Taranaki 2050 Roadmap with an inter-generational vision for the future.
